  • Travel arrangements or expenses made by participants, including non-refundable tickets.

  • Cancellations or changes to events, including external programs such as Investopia.

  • Any damages or losses resulting from participants' interactions, including but not limited to being misled or defrauded by other attendees, participants, or third parties met through Crimson Founders programs or events.


Travel and Logistics
Participants are solely responsible for their travel and accommodation arrangements. Crimson Founders is not liable for disruptions, delays, or losses related to travel.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND MEDIA RELEASE

By participating in Crimson Founders events, you consent to being photographed or recorded. Crimson Founders reserves the right to use, reproduce, and display photographs and recordings from events for marketing, promotional, and archival purposes.

Participants waive any right to inspect or approve the use of their likeness in such materials. Crimson Founders will not compensate individuals for the use of their images.

Crimson Founders is not responsible for third-party use of images or recordings obtained during events.

PROGRAM PARTICIPATION TERMS

Program Changes or Cancellations

Crimson Founders reserves the right to modify or cancel any program, event, or session without prior notice. Participants acknowledge that Crimson Founders is not responsible for any costs incurred due to such changes, including travel or accommodation expenses.

No Endorsement or Guarantee

Participation in Crimson Founders programs does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee of success, investment, or partnership.

Eligibility

Startups must meet eligibility criteria outlined in program details. Crimson Founders reserves the right to reject or remove participants at its discretion.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Ownership and Licensing

Participants retain intellectual property rights to materials they submit. However, by participating, you grant Crimson Founders a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use submitted materials for promotional purposes.

INDEMNIFICATION

Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless Crimson Founders, its affiliates, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from their participation in Crimson Founders programs, events, or use of its website.

MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS

Crimson Founders reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Continued use of Crimson Founders services or participation in its events constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

SOCIAL MEDIA FEATURES

THE FOUNDER FILES

  1. Eligibility: Only startups founded by students, graduates, or professors of degree programs at MIT and/or Harvard are eligible. Startups must be beyond the idea stage and must meet the incorporation, product, or accelerator participation criteria outlined in the eligibility section.

  2. Accuracy of Information: By submitting information to The Founder Files, applicants confirm that all information provided is accurate and up to date. Crimson Founders is not responsible for verifying the accuracy of the information submitted and reserves the right to remove any listing found to contain inaccurate or misleading information.

  3. Interview Content: All content submitted for interviews, including text, images, and videos, must be original and owned by the applicant or properly licensed. By submitting content, you grant Crimson Founders a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and display the content on our website and marketing materials.

  4. Removal from the Directory: Crimson Founders reserves the right to remove any startup from The Founder Files at any time, for any reason, even after approval, without prior notice. Grounds for removal may include but are not limited to providing false or misleading information, violating any terms, or changes in the startup’s status.

  5. Changes and Updates: Startups are responsible for notifying Crimson Founders of any significant changes to their company’s status, such as new funding rounds, product launches, or changes in leadership. Crimson Founders reserves the right to update listings based on the information provided and may request updates to keep the directory current.

  6. Non-Endorsement: Inclusion in The Founder Files does not imply endorsement by Crimson Founders, MIT, Harvard, or any affiliated entity. Crimson Founders provides the directory for informational purposes only and does not guarantee or imply any investment, partnership, or business outcome.

  7. Use of Personal Data: Personal data submitted as part of the application process will be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By submitting your startup, you consent to the use of your personal data for the purposes of maintaining The Founder Files directory, promoting your startup through interviews, and other relevant marketing activities.
